Poison Love Band presents a special fusion of acoustic New-Americana featuring with a focus on lead fiddle, guitar, percussion, harmonies and original songwriting. Our dynamic style is a dynamic combines various cultural traditions, giving it a unique edge. Hailing from the Upper Delaware River Valley, our music is inspired by the rural surroundings. We strive to bring people together through the power of live music and community building.
Dan Brinkerhoff, the lead fiddle player and vocalist, brings a unique fiddle style that reflects the adventurous essence of the Wild West, where he hailed from. His music is a fusion of different musical traditions and cultural influences. With his high-pitched vocals, he has been likened to the legendary Neil Young.
Joanne Brinkerhoff, songwriter, guitarist and harmony singer, draws inspiration from the diverse music scene in Brooklyn, her birthplace, as well as the iconic music of the Catskills, where she spent her summers and resided throughout her adult years. Her songwriting beautifully weaves together elements of 60s and 70s country, rock, and folk, creating a unique and captivating musical style.
Sammy Alexander is a BMI singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music publisher. For several years, he has been a part of the Poison Love Band (drums, percussion, bass and harmonica). Sammy played and contributed to the production of their latest project, "Wild Ride". Additionally, he has recorded and performed with Alexander Churchill (guitar/harmonica/lead singer), as well as with the Black Sage Project (bass). Apart from his musical endeavors, Sammy volunteers his time hosting open mics, supporting the Special Olympics and coordinating music for local events..
Pat Churchill, an accomplished guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, hails from Brooklyn/Queens. He started playing guitar at 8 and was part of various rock bands in his youth. In the 70s, he transitioned to a solo artist and studio musician. Moving to PA in the late 90s, he continued his musical journey by performing with several bands in the area such as Alexander Churchill and the Robert Tellefsen band. More recently he has been actively involved with the Poison Love Band, showcasing his skills in their latest recording "Wild Ride" as well as in live shows.
